Anna and the Duke

Kathryn Smith (2002), 291 pages

Ewan McLaughlin has lived his whole life in Scotland until he finds out that he is an illegitimate son of an English duke. Now he must travel to England to meet his father's family and his stepbrother who is none too happy to have to share his inheritance. As with all romances, there is a girl involved. There is an underlying plot full of schemes against the honest Ewan and the outcome is surprising! A perfect book for the historical romance buffs.

I love this book, the way it was written and mostly the characters. Also, the story was actually believable, not some sappy story. I think this book really shows a different, humanized, vunerable side to homosexuality. It is excellently delivered as well.
